Contemporary pottery and very sweet goodies
 A shop full of joy, hurray! site totally and thoroughly updated 12th May 08 (aren't I good!!) ANNOYING AOL. if you are using AOL, it tends to not like the fact that I update my site and leaves on old info with new text and if the site seems confusing, have a look at it with another server..aol is rubbish!!!!! Thank you for having a look at the website. I've added some new goodies, including some vintage spool dollies, some gorgeous jewellery, fake moustaches and some rather special monkey cup warmers. Sounds strange, but it's strange in a good way..I promise!! Scroll down the homepage for more information. At White Doll Arts we are a little shop full of handmade goods that have been made with great time, love, care and effort. We always try and show you something new and something that you will not have seen all over lots of other shops around the UK (Hurray!). Lots of the work we show is exclusive to White Doll and is made in our cosy little pottery studio at the back of our Cornish shop. Other work is flown in from all round the world just because it is so delicious and perfect that we simply had to show it to you. |
 Due to the nature of handmade work, each piece of pottery will differ very slightly from the examples shown in our on-line shop and it is these differences that make each piece so special. |

 These gorgeous spool dollies are for very sensible children (unlike mine) and for grown ups that like collecting adorable things that serve no purpose at all but make your tummy feel nice. They are made from vintage spools and this is what erica, the maker says... 'These dollies are made from spools that are from Italy and France. The brands are Necchi (Italy), and Retors Briallante (France). The thread is variegated and so beautiful it has been left on the spool and no paint has been used on the spool itself. These spools are very difficult to find making the price a little higher. These are for older children or collectors and I do not recommend them for young children as, even though the thread has been secured to the spool, general play might cause it to come off.' If you go to the section, 'Children' or click on the picture, I have added some hairbands that really I want to wear myself but I can't because they would make me look mental. But if you have a little girl, there are lots of nice ones to choose from. I like these too girls because their hair is a bit messy and messy hair is a sure sign of people who like to have fun.* * not including Ken Dodd because he is too weird. |

I am not a fan of mass produced goodies in my shop but one concession I will make is for Decole because the brand is so perfect, fun, highly collectible(children and adults!) I have some new goodies arriving soon from Japan so please return soon when it will all be for sale on line. |
